George Holmes was born in 1951 in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. After extensive travel throughout the U.K, George arrived in Cardiff, Wales in 1987. During the 2000 Millennium celebration, George moved to the Cardiff Bay area to take advantage of the wonderful panoramic and ever changing views. George has always had a long life love for oil painting, watercolor's, sketching, wood carving, poetry, writing stories and playing his own music. George has also become quite a character actor after staring in several local independent films and TV shows. George can often be seen sketching, and painting throughout Cardiff City and Cardiff Bay, and is extremely popular with tourists and locals alike. George has published his first art sketch book called "One Man's View, Cardiff Bay”, and is already working on the sequels "One Man's View, Cardiff Castle" and "One Man's View, Cardiff City", with another eight books in the planning stage, including two food recipe books and a childr
