How Legal Shield has effected my life

Call Albie at 626-379-5692 or Cick this link for additional info: http://www.awd.legalshield.com
In 2004 I was a busy elementary school teacher looking for a way to make some extra income.

By chance I was talking with a parent about it and they mentioned Legal Shield. After school I looked at the brochure and thought it sounded interesting. I then called the person on the business card the parent had given me and a friendly rep named Bryan came over to our house to see us.

Well long story made short, I saw value in having the membership and signed up for it immediately that night. As it turns out my wife and I have continued to use the membership since that time and still have it today!

We realized that having an attorney to represent us and write letters for us and make phone calls on our behalf was just amazing - and all that for just a small monthly fee!

That first year an attorney wrote a letter to our cell phone company which gave us close to a hundred dollar refund.

These are just a couple stories but needless to say we have used the service in many many ways such as having attorneys review contracts for us, give us tips on our financial decisions, advice about our mortgage and help us with threatening coworkers.

But when we first got the membership we didn't realize how much we would use it. Also, I was not exactly sure if I wanted to be a rep myself as the cost to be an associate was more than the extra money we had at the time.

But about a month later Bryan called me again and said the cost to join had gone down temporarily and would I like to join. I said yes this time and soon found my associate business pack in the mail. I was a little confused as where to start so I called Bryan again and he said they were going to have a meeting soon to go over it.

I came over and ever since that night my life changed in many dramatic ways. I made about $500 dollars my first month and made 10x what I invested in the program. I also learned an important advertising strategy that brought me hundreds of potential clients - none of which were my friends or family.

Nevertheless, even though I had a rosy beginning, I was to learn some very important lessons that took years to learn. The first being that nothing worthwhile comes easily without pain and hard work. The next few years I earned a lot of money with the company but also spent a lot in my eagerness to be successful. I think I wanted it too badly because the harder I tried the further success flew from me. I think people could see I was trying too hard!

The second lesson was learned after five years working the business in my spare time. One of the things the business teaches you is to spend time every day expanding your mind learning from people who have been successful. And from this I learned from Donald Trump that if you want to be really successful in something you have to really love it and it truly has to be part of who you are. I slowly began to realize that over the last five years I was not putting energy into things I truly was passionate about.

This was a turning point and I began to decrease my energy in business and increase my focus on sailing - a dream and passion that is at my core. This led to my next lesson. That of balance. For four years I poured energy into getting my Captains license and obtaining my Sea Time.

But then I saw how God was more interested in who I was rather than in what I achieved.

I recognized a part of me that liked business - even though not as intense as my love of the ocean. I also saw how important it was to build residual income as opposed to having all your income come directly from your daily efforts. The question I asked myself was: 'What would happen when you are older and don't have as much strength as you used to?'

After the last few years of receiving hundreds of dollars in passive income from Legal Shield for memberships I had sold years ago ... I saw how valuable my Legal Shield business was. And along with the fact that I totally believe in the Legal Shield membership, the financial aspect of it is another reason why I am back once more sharing how important this is with others. Its a great business opportunity - and this time, for me, I'm doing this with more maturity, understanding and balance of my true passions in life: My friend in God, my wonderful family, my love of the sea and being in nature and my pursuits in business.

How Sailing & Drawing has been So Much a Part of My Life

 Copywrite 1-27-14 by Albion Derbyshire

Skipper Albie: "I was captivated by the water, the wind and the sky." The ocean has fascinated me since I was young. Drawing tall ships in elementary school was encouraged further after having visited the HMS Victory in Plymouth, England and the Cutty Sark in Greenwhich London. Later, I found the joy of sailing and when I wasn't able to actually be on the water I started drawing it!

Come see my other sailing art pictures and let me know what you think! The address is: http://albiesart.blogspot.com

Do You Like What You Do?

You know, making money is fine and necessary, but here's a question that is important too: Do you like what you do? I mean, for me, its not like waking up and going to the beach but I like working for Ontrac, delivering packages. I like being out in the sunshine every day, I like that I get to walk around a bit and get some excercize and yet can still drive around listening to music while I work on a strategy to get all the packages delivered the fastest way possible. There's a certain amount of challenge to it all that I enjoy too. So yes, its not sailing but its a good job and I like doing it. And if I went sailing EVERY day, that would probably get boring. I hope you like what you do too!

Feel free to send me a message if you would like to share or if you like what you do too - or if you don't and would like to work on changing something.

Daily Thoughts

3-28-13

Really great song. I was listening to this while I was at work and I started humming along with it and listening to the words. A few lyrics resinated with me: "When someone is as cold as ice, you can't try to change them with advice." and "I'm learning to be the light...

Tonight at our marriage group get together, I re-recognized the power of hate that we come to face at some time in our life and how it effects us for life. The way we react to it is often the way we react to it each time we come to face it again. If we could see behind the curtain and see how much hate the devil has for us and God it would astound us. The Bible calls the devil a murderer and the father of lies. Perhaps if we could realize where the true source of the hate really came from, we may be able to forgive the person who allowed it to flow through them to us. Maybe we can also see how we have been the ones to allow that same hate to flow through us to someone else and ask God to forgive us too. All these thoughts went through my head tonight!

Wow! What a Day.!

Started my new project with my job I work from home with last week and really excited to be making money again and helping people too. You're welcome to check out the company I work from home with if you'd like to check it out. I have full details on my home blog:

http://albiesshop.blogspot.com

Wow! What a day! I got to walk with my daughter today as we walked our dog Buttercup together through the park. It was one of those really happy moments hanging out with my daughter and talking about star constellations and her Mexico trip that I will always remember! It was a BEAUTIFUL sunny day and the park looked so alive as we walked along the soft grass passing by its many varieties of trees and plants.

Wow! What another day! Lol! Its so funny. Yesterday It just so happened I got to spent some quality time with my daughter and today turned into a precious time with my son! On the way home from his acting class I decided to ask him if he would sing the songs he will be singing for in his play. I figured he just MIGHT still be young enough to not feel embarrassed by the request. I mean, he is a teenager after all, but only just turned. And he likes to perform - so I was just giving him another opportunity! Ha ha! And he wasn't deterred by the request at all - as many kids would be - and sang a whole bunch of his songs! I was elated. And to top it off, my daughter knew the songs too and joined in making it a joyful time. Wow - what an experience. Thank you God for beautiful moments in life. :-)

Will add more about these moments tomorrow. In the meantime check out this awesome song by Lincoln Brewster  and Darlene Zschech called 'The Power of Your Name'.  Its really beautiful! :) I have the link already downloaded for you from Youtube on my devotional blogsite. Here's the link:

Starting to Collect Momentum...

 12.19.12

Today I am experiencing the effect of feeling my business efforts starting to collect momentum. It has taken months of daily effort and many times I wanted to give up. Yes, I have made money too, but 'before you sell the house you have to build it first', so to speak. So it is with everything. Building something of value is the key.

A Day In The Life Of An Affiliate Marketer

Being in the affiliate marketing business is not that hard now with the internet at your disposable. It is much easier now compared to the days when people have to make use of the telephones and other mediums of information just to get the latest updates on the way their program is coming along.

So with technology at hand, and assuming that the affiliate is working from home, a day in his or her life would sound something like this?

Upon waking up and after having breakfast, the computer is turned on to check out new developments in the network. As far as the marketer is concerned there might be new things to update and statistics to keep track on.

The site design has to be revised. The marketer knows that a well-designed site can increase sign ups from visitors. It can also help in the affiliate?s conversion rates.

That done, it is time to submit the affiliate program to directories that lists affiliate programs. These directories are means to attract people in joining your affiliate program. A sure way of promoting the affiliate program.

Time to track down the sales you are getting from your affiliates fairly and accurately. There are phone orders and mails to track down. See if they are new clients checking the products out. Noting down the contact information that might be a viable source in the future.

There are lots of resources to sort out. Ads, banners, button ads and sample recommendations to give out because the marketer knows that this is one way of ensuring more sales. Best to stay visible and accessible too.

The affiliate marketer remembered that there are questions to answer from the visitors. This has to be done quickly. Nothing can turn off a customer than an unanswered email.

To prove that the affiliate is working effectively and efficiently, inquiries would have to be paid more attention on. Nobody wants to be ignored and customers are not always the most patient of all people. Quick answer that should appear professional yet friendly too.

In the process of doing all the necessities, the marketer is logged on to a chat room where he or she interacts with other affiliates and those under that same program. This is where they can discuss things on how to best promote their products.

There are things to be learned and it is a continuous process. Sharing tips and advices is a good way of showing support. There may be others out there wanting to join and may be enticed by the discussion that is going on. There is no harm in assuming what opportunities ahead.

The newsletters and ezines were updated days ago, so it is time for the affiliate marketer to see if there are some new things happening in the market. This will be written about in the marketer?s publication to be distributed to the old and new customers.

These same publications are also an important tool in keeping up to date with the newly introduced products. The marketer has put up a sale and promotion that customers may want to know about. Besides, they have to keep up with the deadline of these sales written in the publications.

It is that time to show some appreciation to those who have helped the marketer in the promotions and sale increase. Nothing like mentioning the persons, their sites and the process they have done that made everything worked.

Of course, this will be published in the newsletters. Among the more important information that have been written already.

The marketer still has time to write out recommendations to those who want credible sources for the products being promoted. There is also time to post some comments on how to be a successful affiliate marketer on a site where there are lots of wannabees.

Two objectives done at the same time. The marketer gets to promote the product as well as the program they are in. Who knows, someone may be inclined to join.

Time flies. Missed lunch but is quite contented with the tasks done. Bed time?.

Ok, so this may not be all done in a day. But then, this gives you an idea of how an affiliate marketer, a dedicated one that is, spends the marketing day.

Is that success looming in the distance or what?
